Triumphant Tigers Chapter
National Elementary Honor Society

The National Elementary Honor Society (NEHS) was formed to recognize elementary students for their outstanding academic achievement, demonstrated personal responsiblity, provide meaningful service to the school and community, and to develop essential leadership skills in the students of elementary schools.

Park View Elementary "Triumphant Tigers" is the name of our NEHS chapter. Park View received its NEHS charter as a member with full affiliation rights in August of 2009. The members are selected from fifth and sixth grade students who have successfully demonstrated well-rounded characteristics in all areas of the constitution and bylaws of NEHS.

The Student Council Association (SCA)

The purpose of the Student Council Association (SCA) is to provide a student representation within the school governing process. The SCA gives students a voice within their school.

The SCA consists of four student officers (President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer) as well as a classroom representative from each first through sixth grade classrooms.

Students selected as SCA Officers or Classroom Representatives are chosen by their peers through a student election process. Candidates for office prepare a short speech and campaign posters. Officers and Representatives are voted for by first through sixth grade students at Park View through a democratic process. Election to the SCA is an honor our members take seriously - students in the SCA must consistently exhibit quality behavior and academics, as well as a love for their school.

SCA Officers and Classroom Representatives help raise funds for Field Day and other Park View school activities, help the local food bank, and participate in a variety of other community wide activities.

The SCA meets the second Thursday of each month in the school's cafeteria from 2:40-3:00.
